The pump house has a block foundation plastered with cement and stained with ferrous sulfate. The metal roof was also painted first with muriatic acid then stained with ferrous sulfate to look like rust. The walls are plastered with clay/casein and mixtures of clay and lime. A simple thatched porch was added on to the front face to add character.
A small window with a cement sill poured in place. The wall is a lime and clay plaster mix. By adding a small amount of lime to clay it becomes much more water resistant.
Large glass bottles were function as iinexpensive glass block. The pressure tank was painted with clay and wheatpaste.
The south wall was highly textured in preparation for a future lime plaster.
A leftover piece of corrugated metal roofing was used as a simple door. Ferric nitrate painted on the metal turns it a antiqued rust color.
