Adobe Dome Construction in Mexico

| Simone Swan and her aid Jesusita Jimenez had graciously showed and taught us how to build this beautifully simple dome. Simone had worked with Hassan Fathy who developed Nubian style domes and vaults. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We formed arches using simple plywood forms over the corners off of which the dome could spring. The walls were made of extra wide straw/clay blocks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
